Meme.
Taking a break from sleeping to do that Band Meme that’s been going around. I’ve seen Hammer and JP give it a whirl, along with some folks on Livejournal.
The Band Meme
Here’s how it goes. You are about to have your own band’s CD cover. Follow these directions to the letter. It’s fun and requires no thought at all. Go to……
1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first article title on the page is the name of your band.
2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.
3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use your graphics program of choice to throw them together, and post the result in your own journal because it’s more amusing that way.
Flickr had the hiccoughs when I tried it, so I refreshed them all and tried again.
So here’s what I got…I swear to god I didn’t futz with these results in any way:
The quote, by the way, is from Lynn Johnston, the creator of For Better or for Worse, which has always been one of my favorite comic strips. The quote, in its entirety, is: “The toughest question has always been, “How do you get your ideas?” How do you answer that? It’s like asking runners how they run, or singers how they sing. They just do it!”
Not tagging anyone, but this would be neat to see people try. Either refer to my post when you do it, or comment here to say that you’ve done it, and I’ll come see.

How strange that they seem to all align in one way or another! City transport and the picture is bizarre randomness! Glad you did it…it came out pretty cool.
I did it.
Mr Fixit
I did it too. Came out not so bad.

I shocked myself… it’s been years since I played with photoshop in that kind of work.
A View from the Porch led me to your site so I tried the Band Meme. I ended up with a snowman building Iranian who was off work because of a government shutdown, an obscure Christian reference and a warning about out of control government.

Thats the image.

The Title: Inferior Without Your Consent…from an Eleanor Roosevelt quote.
I gotta stop doing these. My first one was “More Claret Than Clarity” by that post-industrial folk-funk supergroup, Dolny Kubin District.
Neat! I love the responses on these!
Britt - that photo is of nothing, unfortunately - it’s not coming up on my browser. :-(
I did it too. With a review!
