Rental car fun.

My insurance doesn’t cover a rental (my bad…I should have anticipated needing that option, what with my car being so old), so I went down to beg Jazz to sign for the thing (she’s over 25, so it’d cost less) and cover my ass financially on it until next week, when my bank account will reflect what’s been going on the past few days on teh intarwebs (again?  holy shit, thank you guys!).  She, of course, agreed to help (because despite her tendency to microwave turkey bacon every morning, she’s pretty awesome), so we went to Hertz to see what we could get.

I wanted a small car.  Something similar to mine.  And cheap.  I mean, that makes sense, right?

Obviously I’m not the only person with these requests.  The smallest car they had was a Pontiac G6.  I think it’s a 2008, now that I’m looking at specifications on these here intarwebs.

Jazz signed for it, drove it out, I followed in her car, and we went to Taco Bell, because we were both starving.

I got in after we were done eating, adjusted the seats, and started tooling down the road.

Hoooooooooly shit, y’all.

I might have to get me one of these, when I win the lottery that I never buy a ticket for.

Yep.  It’s going to be a good week for errands.

  • My daughter’s car during most of high school was a maroon Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible. Sporty mid-size cars are pretty cool.

Yeah, I had a 97 Accord during my senior year of high school and for much of my freshman year of college, and it was great. I’m just so used to driving a tiny car that it’s taking a little getting used to, as far as not having as much freedom of motion within a lane goes.

I’ve heard nothing but great things about the G6, and they aren’t very expensive really for a new car and considering what you get for that money.

The G8 would be on my very short list if the gas mileage wasn’t shit.

  • The G6 is nice but for the money I’d buy a Mazda 6. I love mine. It’s pretty damn awesome.

  • I really, really miss my Daewoo Leganza.
