We have to get Dammit on prednisone. He’s not eating much, and I can’t tell if he’s drinking. I can tell he’s nauseated from the heartworms and the medication, and the dehydration is probably making it worse.
I’m feeding him wet food exclusively, twice a day, right after I give him his medicine, to try to cut down on any stomach discomfort he may have from taking the pill. I think tonight I’m going to fill his medication syringe with water and squirt it in his mouth, too. There’s always food and water made available to him, but he’s just not eating/drinking any of it.
I’m going to try to take him in Monday morning to have them give him another subcutaneous water treatment, another shot of Pepcid, and get some prednisone. I hate having to give him so much medication, but he’s just not doing well. If he doesn’t eat, he gets weak. If he gets weak, the heartworms win. I can’t let that happen.

I hope he gets better without that. Pets keep us centered and they’re the little heartbeat at our feet. I hope all is well soon.
ss2 has some royal canin cat food, it’s salty to make cats extra thirsty. i asked her to give it to you for dammit.
