Yeah…I had limited internet access over the weekend, so sorry about being completely AWOL.
I got my new lappy today. It’s pretty damned sweet. I’m still setting up things the way I want them, but so far, the transition has been very smooth. I’m just adjusting to Vista on the laptop (it would take too long for me to acquire XP, and I needed to get my stuff set up on here ASAP, so I decided to keep Vista, since I have the RAM for it, and I have thus far had no problems, which is pretty good considering what I’ve been doing), but things are going alright.
I have my doctor’s appointment for bloodwork and other various fun stuff. Please keep happy thoughts going for that…I hate getting blood drawn (ironic that someone with so many tattoos and piercings would hate needles, but if you had my veins, you’d understand), but this needs to be done. I have to drink a metric ton of water to make sure the veins aren’t squishy, to minimize discomfort for both me AND the nurse, because I will make her life a living hell if I have to have that tourniquet on my arm for more than 10 seconds, for real.
I’m also turning in my resume and an application for a job at a pet hospital tomorrow. After getting blood drawn. Nyuk, nyuk. I take my animals there, the vets are impressed with my actual understanding of what the hell they’re talking about, my sister works there and put in a good word for me, and they have a job opening that pretty much matches my skills directly. So we’ll see what happens, but I think I may have a part-time job set up for this summer.
I register for classes on Thursday.
Let’s see…what else can I bore you with…um…oh, yeah, my allergies are back again, and they’ve gone straight to my lungs, just as they did in the fall. I’m at a loss as to why my nose doesn’t just run like everyone else’s. I never used to get allergies…these past few years have been allergy hell for me, though. It’s just weird. I’m not used to it. Anyone else have that happen, where you have clear signs of allergies (itchy nose and especially throat, itchy eyes, some drainage, bloody nose, blahblahblah), but then all of a sudden your lungs are rattling? This would be the third time this has happened to be in as many years. I can’t be the only one.
Anyway, time for meds and bed. Mmm…bed. New mattress is made of win, by the way. I love it.
