Um, so it’s been over a week since I’ve posted anything, which doesn’t really happen. Sorry about that. Things have been busy.
I found the dress I’m going to wear to my actual civil ceremony (OMG I’M GETTING MARRIED IN EXACTLY ONE MONTH). Remember when I said that Calvin Klein jeans sucked? Well, apparently the man knows how to make dresses. Not only was I able to find a really nice dress to get married in, and another one (on sale!) for dressier occasions, but there’s a dress online that is nearly perfect in terms of what I wanted to wear to the reception…and it’s also by CK. If he could apply these same principles to his demin pants, I would be all over it.
I started that planned-meal diet yesterday. My official starting weight was 195.6. My goal weight is 165. I can only afford to do the plan for 4 weeks, and I don’t expect to hit my final goal weight in that time, but I do have a measurement goal, and it’s more than doable (2 inches each off of my bust, waist, and hips). Luckily, the dress I bought for my wedding is one that will even look good if it’s a little loose.
My biggest complaint so far: headache. My fat and calorie intake has been cut pretty drastically (considering all the bread I used to eat), and I can’t drink coffee because the plan doesn’t really allow much room for milk and sweetener (at least, not how I use them), so I’m having caffeine withdrawal, too. Diet Coke (which is allowed, as long as I also remember to drink at least one gallon of water per day, regardless of whatever other fluid I consume) doesn’t really do much for caffeine headaches, I’ve found. Apparently the headaches are supposed to stop by Day 3 or 4.
There’s some nausea, too. Again, it’s supposed to go away. If it doesn’t, I have other problems.
I’m optimistic about this plan, particularly because I’ve already bought the food, and so if I don’t use it, I’ve just spent a good bit of money for nothing. Let me tell you – that’s a good motivator.
To clarify, I’ve needed to lose weight for a while, and I’ve been finding it difficult, what with stress and whatnot, to do so. My motivation comes from wanting to be healthier overall, but I’m not going to lie and say that getting married (and thus having a metric fuckton of photos being taken of me next month and the month after) isn’t being used as an excuse…heh.
Anyway, I’ll update from time to time on this whole process. I’m going to be doing some working out, as well, to help keep toned during this whole process, and to get my stamina to a good place.
School is school. I haven’t been working much. Wedding/reception plans are going pretty well. I’ve been severely neglecting my Examiner duties because of life, but I hope to be picking that up again ASAP.
And now, I’m going to bed. My headache is starting to spread into my shoulders. Man, I seriously hope that this gets easier soon. Headaches and cramps are side-by-side in the race for “most annoying pain”.
