So yeah, I’m totally updating my blog on my honeymoon. You’ll get over it.
We’re in Pigeon Forge, which I’ve been describing to people as “Redneck Vegas.” The “strip” at night is the tackiest thing ever. Don’t get me wrong – it’s fun, but it’s nearly seizure-inducing to have so many companies vying for your attention using flashing lights.
The cabin we’re staying in is pretty neat. There’s a bedroom downstairs, but we’ve chosen to stay in the loft, where there is also a bed, because there’s pretty much everything we need up here. AND a bunch of things we don’t, like an arcade game, a fax machine, a pool table, and a freakin’ heart-shaped jacuzzi.
There’s a hot tub on the porch of the second level, as well. I’m about to hop in, and I’m just hoping the cold air after the hot water isn’t too much of a shock.
This has been a great time, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the excursion, which will include a friend‘s cabin in Gatlinburg (one of the best wedding presents ever, BTW…the use of the cabin for a week, y’all).
We’re going to try to hit Dollywood tomorrow, if for no other reason than to see the museum – JB’s into gospel stuff, and there are quite a few items in that museum that he wants to see. Because the cabin we’re renting was recently absorbed by Dollywood, we got free parking passes, free day passes, and 20% off of whatever else we do while we’re on the grounds. Neat, eh?
Anywho, I probably won’t be on here until after Christmas, at the very earliest, so I hope everyone has a great time with their friends and families.

sounds wonderful! i went to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg once on a Jazz Band trip, and had a really good time. it’s like Vegas, only for country folk. :D continue having a great time! Merry Christmas!
Yeah, it’s been pretty fun, so far, and Gatlinburg is close enough to Pigeon Forge that we’ll be able to come back here for a little bit next week, too, if we want. :-)
