Cluck-n-Neigh Farms and good times.

Today, JB and I went to visit Michael and Claire (of the newly-minted Cluck-n-Neigh Farms…say it out loud quickly…if you don’t laugh, I’m not sure I want to know you any more).

Oh, my goodness, y’all.  We had such a good time.  I got a dozen eggs, donated to the cause (visit Claire’s link – it tells all about the farm, the goals, etc), and we went out and got Chinese afterward.  Michael and Claire are good people.  They’re the ones who donated their cabin for me and JB for our honeymoon, which was amazing even though I was sick.  I felt much more comfortable being UNcomfortable in that cabin than I did in the one we’d rented.  I mean…in more ways than one, it was absolutely amazing.

Anyway, I will be sure to post photos as soon as I can, but I’m actually TIRED (omg, right?), and I want to try to go to bed, you know, BEFORE 2am, because I have class tomorrow, and I have to go to the registrar’s office to fix some stuff before then.

In other news, I brought my blood work with me today to show to the two of them, because they’ve both been through the ringer with Michael’s Lyme disease (the link to the “new” blog within that blog that I just linked is dead, which is why Claire’s at the Cluck-n-Neigh site now…confusing?), and the second Michael looked at my thyroid numbers, he said, “Well, I’d be depressed, too.  Geez!”

Do y’all know how GOOD that felt?  To have confirmation from someone else who’s been forced to know way too much about medical jargon that there is just something wrong there?  He looked at everything else and chuckled because the rest of my bloodwork is really gorgeous.  I mean, REALLY.  My blood’s extremely healthy.  My thyroid is not.  It’s just so weird.

Oh, we did call the gyno’s office.  They were very nice.  The lab company, however, was not.  So I’m leaving it up to the gyno office to get this fixed.  I’ll pay the bill as soon as I have results that show my age and proper ranges on it.  That’s the only issue thus far – we can’t do anything until we get that corrected paperwork.  After that, though, it’s on.

Okay, I’m going to bed.  I’ll update y’all as I get info, but for the time being, that’s all I’ve got.

Thank you for all of the great comments.  I keep meaning to answer them, and then I get caught up in something that needs doing around here, but I wanted to let you know that I’ve read them all, and they make me happy.  I love the support that you all give me.  That’s why I haven’t given up blogging, even with some of the dumbasses and jerks and psychos I’ve run into.  For every ONE of them, there are at least TEN of you.  :-)

  • It was our pleasure to host & we look forward to doing so again very soon. Careful though, or we will put you to work! Seriously, it was great fun to have new faces around the place. The farm was dormant for so many years that it is a joy to see it returning to a productive & enjoyable venture again. Thanks for helping out.
