First day of work.

I was supposed to have a room with two 2-year-olds.

Because of some unfortunate dealings last week, the center where I work lost 2 teachers.

I am now in a room with nine 3-year-olds.  I have a co-teacher (trainer) in with me for a week, maybe two, and then I’m on my own.

I came home from work and collapsed as soon as I got up into my room.  I woke up 4 hours later, and I’m about to head back to bed for the night.

My feet and lower back think it’s the Apocalypse.

But somehow it was still a good day?

Falling asleep at laptop.  Goodnight.

Congrats and Condolences. I know how rough my almost 3yr old can be sometimes.Good luck and godspeed.

  • But the important thing is that you were willing to take a job you knew would be challenging and are ready to go back to it on day two. There are too many in our country who don’t want to work. If you succeed in the job, there is nothing but job security for day care or teaching. Just keep at it, don’t give up, and use your downtime to rest.

As the father of an almost three year old, I can understand how you feel, at least to a point. Take full advantage of every trick you learn. The little devils can be quite creative in finding ways to entertain themselves.

    Good luck and congratulations!

Do as you have been. Take care of yourself. The blogging is tertiary, or whatever comes less than that.

  • Taking care of nine 3 year olds for the day would drain the healthiest person.

Take care of yourself in your downtime, and congrats on the job! You can do it!

they can’t be any smarter or more devious than you were at that age. you can do it. :D

  • You can do it Fastballs pitched to us are what life is about. You are intelligent and have a good heart. Think like the little 3-year olds you are now in “charge of.” Take it one day at a time, smile a lot, take joy in simple things and hold your head high… are helping to form little future mommies, daddies, sisters, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, etc. Congratulations, I have no doubt you will be successful!
