Just move once every couple of months, and you’ll be in tip-top shape in no time!
I’m just popping in to say “hi” before I have to pack this machine up and take a shower. Headed back to the house today to install a washer-dryer, and to await my IKEA furniture delivery.
After the initial brush-off by customer service, I was totally expecting not to have a bed to sleep on for several more weeks. Turns out the delivery only took two. Well, theoretically. I haven’t actually received the furniture yet, but it’s scheduled to be delivered today between 11am and 1pm. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m making some pretty good headway with going through boxes and figuring out where things need to go, but I’m realizing that this would be a LOT easier if I had furniture. Not just the bedroom furniture, but cabinets, particularly for my craft/photography stuff. I’m also starting to realize that I might need to improvise on the photography space a little better, and that there will likely not be room for a futon downstairs. What this means for anyone coming to visit is that you’ll sleep on my bed, and I’ll take the fold-out in the living room while you’re here. Or you can take the fold-out, if you insist. It’s twin-sized. I like visitors. You make the call.
Anyway, I’m taking inventory of things I need, and will be visiting the store later today, after the washer and dryer are installed, and I’ve successfully received my furniture (if not put it together, which will probably have to happen today).
I’m probably going to miss opera rehearsal tonight. I hope they remember that I’ve missed maybe one rehearsal, total, in the 3 other operas I’ve done and cut me some slack on this one, as this will be the 3rd rehearsal missed in this opera for me. :-/ All due to exams and moving. Why did I take this opera? Gah!
Okay, I need to get my ass in gear. It’s just really hard when your muscles are like, “NO MOAR MOOOVING!” Sorry, muscles. You know the drill.
To all of you in Reader-Land, I’ll be online intermittently from this point until sometime after the holiday. We still don’t have internet at the house, and seeing as how I’ve never signed up for internet, but I know how the service techs in Memphis can be, if I call today, I’ll probably get internet by January 3. This means that posts, comments, and the like will be few and far between, and that if something important happens to you, prompting you to blog about it, I will likely not know about it. So feel free to drop me an email or something if you feel that it’s worth my knowing.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and happy blogging. :-)
